Can i offer some advice regarding your free-standing seat?

1 - Your supporting leg brace is not positioned well, if you were to cut it in two then fix it horizontally from the ladder back to the legs at say 6' off the ground then put a support horizontally across the back between the support legs - The trick to getting these right is the angle to which you splay the support legs in both directions (if you get what l mean? The aim is to create a tri-pod (which is one of the sturdiest of structures in engineering!

2 - the seat support has no outer supports - as your ladder is attached to the leading edge of the seat (this is where the strength is) the chassis gains strength then from the box construction - so outer supports will strengthen your chassis, as well as help to add strength to your seat!

3 - The chassis supports these look ok but l would of put longer ones in (two blokes weighing 15stone each is 190kgs!) - as i say they look ok but l'd made them longer to spread the loading.

If you like you can tell me to get lost! But PM me i'll tell you who l work for and you'll understand how l know my stuff!
