I've been trying to bag a decent muntjac for 3 years now but all I've managed are does or yearling bucks. Tim aka Munty Hunter off here has tried bloody hard to get me a buck and invited me out again this morning.
up at 4-30 am drive 45 minutes to meet him and off we went, mark everywhere, barked at by a couple and then Tim spotted one under a holly bush, a 10yd crawl to a better position and the shot was taken.
we saw it drop and walked towards it, then we saw him
well worth waiting 3 years for, Ive no idea if he's a medal but I will get him measured.
he was an old warrior, tattered ears, one broken tusk, scars and cuts all over and no tail
a huge thank you to Tim, I owe you one mate
