I've been playing with low layer count Damascus blades for a while now and I prefer the look to high layer count, and they are simpler to make, which is always nice. I polished the blade this time instead of etching it - you can still see the layering but it's much fainter than you would normally expect on a Damascus knife. The idea is for it to develop and show over time and use - let's see how that works out...
This one is O1/L6 combined so no soft spots
