Hi, I am palacona an off and on stalker. I stalk mainly red deer in the highlands now, but used to stalk only roe deer. I enjoy the challenge of the hills in winter and the company of professional stalkers.
I am a user of old calibres; having gone round the houses, I settled some time ago on the .222 and the gents calibre of .275. Both great comfortable calibres and they do the job just fine, I like good kit and the two full bore rifles that I own are wooden stocked and I have only just decided to get the octagonal barrel on my Hyme .275 shortened and screw cut for a moderator. It's rather worrying that on this site I see some chat about moderators causing damage to old novas of which I am a fan.
