About to assemble my first round 55g bullet whats a good powder to start with ? and yes i have a couple of reloading manuals but powder choice i have no idea what to try

N133 is excellent but I have also had very good results with (Cheaper) RS40 and Tu2000

I use H322 but have some Lovex that I'm planning on using. The beauty of the .223 is that you can use many powders with it

Got a tub of vitt 133 not a great deal of choice locally ammo production begins thanks for all your replys

There are loads of great powders for the 223 . My favourates are

Vit 133 with lighter bullets. (up to 60 grn)

Vit 140 or Varget with the heavies.

I have also had good results with H4895 - Benchmark and Vit 135
