    Greetings from across the pond...

From just north of Atlanta, Georgia.

I happened on this site as I was researching info on the 7x57. I recently came into a Ruger No. 1 RSI in .257 Roberts and have been considering additional calibers. Also have a custom 98 Mauser (1909 Argentine made in Germany) in .257 Roberts. Have yet to hunt with the Rob, have been using a Remington 700 LTR in .308 for a few years and also hunt with a longbow. Hunt mostly in the southern US states for whitetails ( mostly stand hunting as its rather thick and noisy) although I go west each year for sharptail grouse in Montana or North Dakota. Have bagged a few elk and mule deer in Colorado (stalking) and admire your stalking for Red Stag. I have toured England and Scotland several times and always felt as if I had lived there in another life. Before I get too old I'd like a go at stalking the Stag.

Great site and I've already learned a lot reading through the forum.

Welcome! I am a visitor, too, from South Carolina. Came here because of the metric combination gun shooters. I am a 7x57R user, also .257 Roberts and traditional archery.
