Hi, I am from the Scottish Borders and have been involved in shooting sports for many years - used to do lots of rabbit control with a .22 rimfire and shotgun when I was farming. Now do a bit of game shooting and shoot clays fairly regularly.
New to the stalking game but plunged right in at the deep end and sat my DSC1 at the weekend with Liddlesdale Deer Management. 50/50 on the general Q's, 40/40 on hygiene, 19/20 on species and both safety and shooting tests passed - chuffed with that.
Now to get some accompanied stalks under my belt and apply for my FAC (dropped my last ticket when I sold the .22). Meanwhile the mind bending job of deciding on what caliber to apply for!
