The dreaded introduction...
My interest in shooting is all my Father's fault.
He took me out on the moor in the early 1970's when I was 5 ro 6 years old and I haven't stopped since.
I can handle a shotgun and airguns also have their place in my collection, but I have always preferred using a rifle.
I have had an FAC since I was 17 or so.
I shot my first Red Stag up in Ross-shire a couple of months after finishing my A-Levels with an Estate Mauser 66 in .270.
More recently I have been "protecting the trees" in the Forrestry nearer home in Lancashire, adding Roe and Sika to the species list.
I have a degree in Mechanical Engineering, but have ended up doing IT support to earn a living.
My team Keeps the CAD/CAM systems going for a local Aerospace company.
My engineering background and inquisitive mind mean that I'm just as interested in how guns work as shooting them.
I'm not frightened by "home gunsmithing" - all LEGAL mind you - and enjoy working on and customising my guns.
