Thread: Budget trousers?

    Budget trousers?

    Hi all,
I'm after a pair of trousers for beating, taking the dogs out, shooting etc.. That don't cost the earth. The jack Pyke countryman trousers seem good for the money? Anyone have a pair? Or have any suggestions?

Try offers on craghopper trousers for summer stalking. Should be able to get a pair for 20 - 25.

Not knowing your budget I would point you toward Seeland - they do some good (relatively) cheap entry level trousers - either that or scan fleabay for some pro-hunters and pounce on a bargain (it happens once in a while)
For Gods sake - don't tell her how much I've spent

I pick up a pair of Seeland trousers online from Uttings last year. I've been beating etc in them in some pretty poor weather and I've found them really good for the money. Off the top of my head they were between 40-50.

I ended up buying a pair of "tresspass" trousers when I had forgot my usual stalking trousers. Found them surprisingly comfortable and silent. Not sure of the exact model - will try to look it up once I get home tonight.

Unlined Craghoppers are great for summer stalking. They dry really quickly it they get wet too. I bought several pairs at TK maxx for 16 each.

Very good value but the pockets are hilariously small - I don't know why they bother putting them on at all.
