Certainly seems that way albeit I was a week too late in harvesting the finest crop of Ceps I've seen on my patch for many a year. So sad to see some real beauties that were simply too far gone to do anything with.
I did track down one that was spot on to go with my post stalk breakfast and cooked in bacon fat with 8 squirrel kidneys it was stunning. But then anything cooked outdoors has an extra something.
