    ash dieback

has ash dieback become the problem that was predicted in your area ? im only asking as I have not seen any trees with it in the areas that i stalk in . It would be nice to know if its a creeping problem that is spreading out from hotspots around the uk .

most definitely a problem. It hasn't spread across the whole country yet bur all prediction are that it will. Now popping up in areas that the Forestry Commission had designated as "safe havens". A very small percentage of tree have genetic that "might" have resistance to the disease

We've had the odd case around here. A large ash was suddenly removed in the village so someone must be keeping an eye on things. I suspect we shall see a bit of an upsurge next year. I think by then it will have become a bit more obvious.
