A while back, I had posted about the alligator hunting in Florida, Louisiana and South Carolina, mostly by archery, with a 200-lb test braided line and barbed arrow, in order to retrieve the gator. Not sure where to post this, but here goes...
They are not a Nile crocodile, but a lot less expensive to hunt, and can be done properly with just as much sporting challenge. And while not as aggressive as a crocodile, alligators are sort of like rattlesnakes, in that if you run up on one at the wrong time, and surprise them when they are in a bad mood, they can ex you out.
