Woodcock and a William Jeffery 410

Went for a walk with some friends on Monday and introducing new dog to walked up shooting. Took my favourite little gun. Up pops a woodcock, one shot later and a picture says it all- and yes I know its upside down, but I have tried every which way to including turning to upside down and then uploading.

Very nice, great photo and bound to have been a good shot, they are not easy.
Is there still a L.and R. Woodcock Club? Have not read a Shooting Times in twenty years or more :(.jc

Well done you get a sense of achievement with the small calibers
I took my 28 bore on a small driven day yesterday and had five pheasants and a pigeon
two pheasants were a left and right
regards pete

Sweet as. Great shot with a lovely gun.
What sort of d og

Thanks for all the comments. I might have for a Christmas breakfast, or just saviour it on Boxing Day. And as for the dog, she is one Akeld excellent purpose bread Labrador / BMH dogs. Good nature of the lab, but with the nose and an element of aloofness of the BMH.
