    Finish Lapland

Thinking of taking grand children to Lapland just before Christmas to see Santa, while we are there. I would like to buy a Traditional Sami knife, would there be any problems getting it back on the plane?

No I have bought several knifes back from Finland and visit the country on an irregular basis. I was out hunting Whitetail last year in November.

Just make sure you put the knife in your main luggage, obviously not hand luggage.

This is the display of Marttiini knives in Helsinki airport:

Not unlike Zurich where you used to be able to buy SAK's in Departures

As sikamalc says, though, these days you'll have to put anything like this in your checked-in luggage.
