I find it fantastic that we have animals of that size (perhaps not many with the hunting pressure most boar populations are under) roaming wild in this country. I'd love to see a dominant wild boar in the field. I'd not be bothered about shooting it. They seem very bear like when they get to that size.

Yes I did...He was on the Beeb last night on the illegal ivory trail. Haven't finished watching it so reserve judgement as to his presentation. Imo he was a breath of fresh air when he arrived on the cooking scene...John
Agreed! Bang and flop, no suffering or being carted off to an abattoir. And then every part of the animal is used and enjoyed, and most importantly respected.
