A dealer friend offered me a mint rifle re-barreled in 6.5x47 lapua for a very good price. Essentially someone had ordered the rifle but was now experiencing financial problems.
However i heard someone say that they were fed-up with 'these new fangled calibres' and realised that it was me who'd said it!
Thinking about the rifles i've sold over the past 18 months and the rifles i've bought, i'm definately favouring the old trustworthies.
Sold: .223, 22-250, 6mmBR
Purchased/Own: 308, 25-06, 7.5x55 swiss, 6.5x55
I'm now seeking a quality older rifle, but in good condition and in calibre .270 (i dislike the new plastic tupperware rifles).
