Leica CRF 1600

I bought the CRF 1200 some years ago to replace a rather battered (but still functional) LRF 800.

The CRF has the advantage of being waterproof and a slice smaller then the LRF.

The CRF 1600 (which I had not previously heard of) seems to share the benefit of the old LRF of being switchable between yards and meters.

In any case, I find my CRF1200 very good.

Hi Sako 75

I have the 900 version (I believe the 1600 only came out this August).

900 is the same except the range is limited to 825 mtrs so if you can buy on of these as it will be cheaper at at the end of the day would you benefit from the 1600? i.e. would anything past 825 mtrs be practically used?

Excellent piece of kit as you would expect from Leica, clarity of optics even in low light conditions, consistent range readings etc.

I had a Bushnell range finder before buying the Leica which was OK. It was 1/2 the price but was not even worth comparing to the Lecia which are in a different league.

Like most things in life you get what you pay for.
