Not sure if you will remember the roe buck I photographed at the start of the year with a swollen jaw....for info here he was:

Well he is still around and just taken these pics:

His jaw seems to be much better but his head is very poor, right side is twisted and no weight to them.

Spent a nice 20mins watching him.......

Hi your buck is definitely going back. He has lost muscle over his neck,body and hindquarters. Not a happy bunny.
Looking at the photos, as Pete posted initially looks like lumpy jaw to me as well. (Actinomyces bovis) Alternatively tooth abscess. Hopefully you will be able to knock him down on humane grounds. The jaw bone once you have boiled it out will look a bit like a sponge. Please take before and after photos for us to add to the section ?
