We seem to have been suffering from sporadic slowness this morning. I have had this back from our hosts:

As you are probably aware, we are currently experiencing major packet loss in part of our network at one of our data centres which is affecting multiple customers.

This is to let you know that we are aware of the problem and are, of course, doing everything humanly possible to restore service as rapidly as possible.

Please bear with us. As soon as we have resolved the matter we will send you a full explanation of what happened.
Hopefully they'll get it sorted asap.
