    Redding Trimming lathe cutter

    Hello all,

I have just bought a second hand Redding Trimming lathe cutter and was wondering if anyone knew how to set it up as there are no measurements on the actual cutter itself. I am reloading .243.

    Any advice greatly appreciated.

and also, is it necessary to trim once fired cases??? does it greatly affect accuracy?

set it up with the bit at the handle wound back and adjust the mandrel to touch the case when it is in the clamp then adjust the bezzle by the handle then cut and measure and keep doing this until you get the length you want then lock up.
