Hi all i was wondering is it possible to get a magazine for a ruger m77 hawkeye. The internal mag system drives me up the wall sometimes when trying to reload. I have contacted a ruger dealer and he seems to think there is no solutions but was wondering if anyone could shed some more light on the situation.

many thanks

Sorry i think your beat there Conor, 77's all have the floorplate design.

PS. still a cracking Rifle none the less.

I have the same problem with a sako in 308, has never fed well and never will.
One option would be to convert and install an aftermarket magazine system which can be done with a huge ammount of work.
Might cost a bit more than the ruger is worth.
I know my remmy benefitted hugely from such a system using AI magazines.

It's maybe worthwhile getting a knowledgeable rifle smith (like Calum Ferguson) to look at the operation of your Ruger. I have owned Rugers in .223, .22-250, .243, .25-06 and 260 Rem and used other Rugers and have not had feeding issues. I did have an extraction problem with a bent ejector blade on the .223 which was sorted out for me.

Good luck. JCS
