Thread: Baler twine again.

    Baler twine again.

    Hi All,
I got called out by the farmer on Monday to a roe buck caught in a fence.
When i got there it was obviously a fallow buck, and in a very agitated state, the baler twine it had around its head had caught in the barbed wire.
It was also in a very secluded part of the farm so it was lucky it had been noticed.
We just couldn't get near it to use wire cutters so i put it out of its misery.
So lesson for today, if you see any baler twine, pick it up and take it away.

If there is a way to handicap themselves then deer will find it.

Ive seen poachers nets, old fencing and this old boy with the remains of a tent!

There is a place on this planet for all of God's creatures, right next to my tatties and gravy!!!

Yes they do get themselves into pickles.
I also saw a fallow buck with a large white grain bag over one antler, although very sad to see it was quite comical as it had the actions of a guy wearing a monacle, and walked around in circles quite a bit.
Never saw it again (it was on a neighbours field) so i assume it managed to rid itself of the bag, hopefully.
