I been looking around for a good load for the 125 & 150 gr heads ,for the 308, as previously with another 308, i been on the heavier or very light loads. so far i have 42gr vit 140 with both 125 & 150's , & Vit 133 @ 46gr . As yet not tried, what loads do you have for accuracy with Vit lads? Thanks

150gr Sierra Gameking on 42.5gr of N140.
Lapua brass, CCI primer.

Have you tried playing with the COL?
Once you've determined your max OAL of course.

Thanks lads . With OAL of between 2.77-2.82 shoots perfik on 150's with the V140/42.5 :)

Just gotta work the Sierra s/p 125 heads now

I've found OAL of 2750 with 44g of N140 with 150g sierra game kings works the best in my Parker Hale.
Regards Oli

Currently in my Sako 75 Varminter .308 I am using the Sierra Pro Hunter No.2120 125gr Spitzer with 47gr of Varget in Lapua brass fired up by a Fed.GM210M match primer. AOL is 2.68 inches.
This is a slightly compressed load in that brass.
I scored 119/120 with it last Sunday at a DMQ style stalkers shoot. [I dropped a point on the one inch bull on the grouping target by less than an eighth of an inch !]

That rifle is sighted in to centre the bull at 100yds but it has a TDS4 reticle in the Swarvoski 6-18 scope, a ladder reticle with which elevation can be added without twiddling the knobs.
