Yes ive seen them in velvet right through the year some testosterone problem no doubt ,the next year this roe was fine how he managed to cast i don't have a clue .

i saw a young buck last week in full velvet, didnt even look like he had begun to clean.. I was very surprised to see it in full velvet..
 
just back in and seen a young button buck in velvet and also a yearling in velvet.
some of last years will never shed the velvet. may be a hormone or diet thing not sure.
seems to cure itself by year two, or the .243 does .

does anyone think they should be taken out .could be a hormone problem.or will they be just late
 
I shot a button buck on sunday still in velvet, more like a blue hare in terms of weight so that might have been a factor!

All the rest have been clean apart from 1 in mid april but he was a young un with 2 pts.
