    roe buck

    Hi Was out with the terriers a couple of days ago when one of the ran off and put up a roe buck so the buck just stands there and stamplng its front leg is this a sign of aggression or something else bye the way got to the terrier in time.
    Please can you tell me why has it done that

    Even red deer will do this, just like sheep stamp their feet as a sign of aggression. Does will do this often when they are near their young and you disturb them, especially if you have a dog with you.
    A roe buck did the same to me when I was stalking red deer last year, he knew something was in the long grass but was not able to get my wind so started stamping his feet.
