A Man's Life: Mustering and Deer Hunting Alone in New Zealand's Beautiful Mountains
"Ted McLaughlin has led a full and adventurous life. This is his autobiography spanning nine years living on his own for long periods in the mountains of New Zealand's South Island. Travelling on horseback with pack horses and hunting deer on foot, all in the era before the advent of helicopters, Ted has had to survive a lot of close brushes with death which has made him very self reliant. It is completely true in every detail - it was a tough life which was not for the faint hearted!"
Packing up some bits for storage and I have two copies of this book. It's a good read; hell of a tough life. This copy is as new - mint. Pages haven't even been turned.
