    Hello from Cumbria.

I have been shooting with my dad for as long as I can remember. We shoot form .22lr rimfire's right the way through to .308. We shoot anything from rabbits through to roe deer (and any other lawful quarry, like the odd crow from a fence post hehe.) I shot my first roe deer in 2007 at 196 yards with a .243 and my first fox on friday night gone with the same rifle from approx. 250-300 yards. We have recently been sighting in the same rifle at 200, 300 and 400 yards and have plans to go even further in the near future. I am keen on long range shooting and hope to shoot some 1000 yard competitions in the future. I hope to gain more knowledge out of this forum and try to put back in to it as much as I gain. Feel free to ask any questions and I'll get back to you ASAP.

    Thanks, TheWolfMan

Morning and welcome mate. Just going for a shoot now? 200 yd shots are no problem but longer shots may attract some unwanted attention, especially if shooting factory loads.

We have permission to shoot up on a large sheep farm with plenty of land and safe backstop's. We are using reloaded ammo in all of our centrefires and are planning to go up to about 600 yards with the .243. Not planning to take anything larger than a fox past 300 yards. When I mentioned 1000 yard competitions I meant with a larger calibre in the future.
