Right habitat, looks like a CWD. Could be a one off or a genuine migration.

That is a chink all right.... How did it get there? Ifor anyone??
Just because you are paranoid, doesn't mean they aren't out to get you......
CWD are living quite comfortably on the Gibralta Point nature reserve. Whilst I have not personally seen them there I have seen the photo of a dead one taken on the reserve shown to me by a chap who does pest control there and on the neighbouring land.
They have been there since 2004, but the most ever seen is 2, Brithunter if you have a copy of the phot I would appreciate it I am Mammal recorder for Lincolnhsire.
The photo was taken in the same place so they are still there.
I don't doubt it even dog walking is restricted to they are safe except from the odd poacher. The photo I was shown it was dead in a ditch. As they don't really have to wander far to reach roads or crop fields I don't know if it was wounded, shot of just a anatural death. He was going about his work to protect the ground nesting birds from depredation. I believe they have bait stations for the rats and tunnel traps for other round preditors like Stoat and Mink.
