Young People and Shotguns

Not exactly stalking related but I thought this was worthy of a mention.

As those on here that know me, I am the Shooting Campaign Manager at the Countryside Alliance. Today we released a report to the media and politicians ahead of the second reading of MP Thomas Docherty’s private members Bill on Friday. This Bill would impose a minimum of 14 years for any shotgun certificate holder, which we believe would unfairly affect young shooters.

A summary of the report can be found here:

Coverage was in the Shooting Times and BBC News:

I was also up early this morning to tackle Thomas Docherty on BBC Radio 4’s Today programme. You can listen here:

It was good to see the BBC being on the side of the shooting community. We have also been doing the rounds on local radio stations that have picked up this story. If you would like a full copy of the report, email me on: david-taylor@countryside-alliance.org
