Just got myself a tub of Viht N133 to try out in my .223, anyone recommend a good load with this powder using a 50gr varminter Blitz bullet ( sierra ). i know it is best to work up a good load by trial and error, but would be good to hear what you guys think .
Thanks.

hi buddy these are for the bliz bullets. though on my data it shows it being used for all the 50 grain sierra bullets. so you will be fine. as for pressure nr max load. your have to try that yourself as each rifle is different.
just work up slowly. i go 0.5 grains at a time. but as you get close to max if you get no pressure signs then maybe go up 0.2 grains at a time. most people start at the bottom of the reloading data.
I don't I always start in the middle. and work up. for both my 22/250's and a mates 223 i stated mid table on the loads. that is up to you of course
for the 17 centrefire I load I do start at bottom of the load chart though as they spike pressure very fast and only go up 0.2 grains at a time.
then you can make some up and work back from there till you get the groupings you want. i dont buy a modified case though. i like to take a fired case from my rifle and get a local gunsmith to tap and die it to fit the col gauge. imo this is better as this case is a fit to your chamber.
if you cant be bothered to go through this then i would just start at factory mag length and go from there.
i use 24.5 grains of n135, remington brass, federal small primers and crimped, 1/2 groups today at 100 yards with 50 grain blitzking, mr fox aint going to like these in his ribs!
