just finished fire forming my .243AI cases using 80gr berger match/varmaint 47gr vit 160,cant see a lot wrong hear ya say,but the thing is im struggling to get hold of any 80gr bergers,so am thinking of another good bullet to use,so many to choose from, the bergers grouped well,i know they prob wont shoot the same in fire formed cases but really wanted to keep the same, wat other tried bullets you guys recommend, its mainly fox/deer..........

For fox and deer out of my border barelled 243 with a 1 in 8 twist I use 100gr Hornady interlocks with 49gr of N165. These group sub 1/2 moa at 100yrds and are very nearly as accurate as the 105 A-Max I use for the range.

Lapua 243.

I always use the Nosler 95gn Ballistic Tip with Rem 9 1/2 primer & 44.5gn Vit N160.
My barrel is a 1-10 twist, so heavier bullets didn't work so well.....less than 100gn, perfect.

I shot a 243AI for a few years with a Border Barrel 1 in 8 twist. I started with Hornady 87grn HPBT which were good but then went on to the Sierra 85grn HPBT Gamekings. First load attempt with H4350 would group at under 1/2'' at 100yds. They are a superb bullet for deer and foxes without excessive damage. may be worth a try and are generally an easy bullet to get a hold of.

speer 85 grain or 87 grain hornady a 4350 powder deadly and very accurate drops them on the spot and very little meat damage.

Speer 85 grain SPBT with either 38.5 grains of H Varget or 44.5 grains of Viht N160 at approx 3,100 fps have been very satisfactory for me. They are very consistent with only a maximum spread of only 27 and 37 fps respectively over the chrono for five-shots. Sako 75 .243 20 inch barrel T4 mod.
