What powder do members use in there 223

Hi, just been reading the hornady reloading book and in there the Hodgdon BL-C2 powder for 223 comes out good! What are other members using! i'm thinking about reloading the v-max 50grn / 55grn / 60grn bullets... gun is a sako xs 85 20 inch barrel with 1.12 twist.. many thanks.

    I have used,

H322 was designed for the .223 and it shoots very well.
    Benchmark is an excellent powder.
N130 is great for lighter bullet weights, say up to 55grn.
N133 is good for anything over 60grn.
N140 is good for heavier bullet weights.

These days I only shoot 55/60grn hunting loads and 68/69grn target loads, but if I was picking one powder to start with it would be Benchmark.

Andy, some of the more well known powders in the states never make a showing over here, things can be quite limited, even through county to county, some stuff is never seen or heard of.

When I had a Sako .223 I loaded 24.5 grains of Viht N133 behind a Sierra 55 grain Gameking. 3,250 fps with no sign of excess pressure at all. Consistency and grouping excellent. Longest kill on a Muntjac 266 yards, measured with a laser rangefinder and from a highseat. What more can one ask? Why the **** did I part with that rifle ?

Vit N-120 for 35 to 50 grain bullets, Benchmark for 52 grain and up

Viht N140 under a certain 75grain Hornady bullet, out of a tight twist and quite long barrel. Very accurate, very flat shooting and surprisingly effective penetration and expansion, regardless of current Hornady literature on the subject
