    African stowaway..

    Lo all,

I thought I’d share a few pics (not the best quality) of a "stowaway" we found lastnight on the ship.

He’s a “Tropicbird” and the unusually long tail feathers are quite distinctive when you see them flying miles out at sea.

We were sailing towards Bioko Island (Equatorial Guinea) for a new project and this wee fella must have joined us when we left Angola and the Congo a few days ago. Probably joined just as we crossed the Equator when the winds picked up and took him out further than he expected!

No wonder he’s knackered, it’s been 98% humidity and 34°C round these parts recently.

We gave him some fresh water and he was on his way after a good rest.
Shame he didn't clean up his mess before leaving..
