good african game hunting E books

I am banned from work for a few days because of an infectious stomach bug. So. Any suggestion for a good book.

I am after a classic tail of african game hunting BUT I need to download it to my Galaxcy tablet.

Any suggestions for title I can try and find.

Not strictly hunting, but brilliant books that brilliantly capture the atmosphere and character of East Africa in the early years of the 20th century. Thoroughly recommended:

The Flame Trees of Thika by Elspeth Huxley.

    Red Strangers, also by Huxley.

West with the night, by Beryl Markham.

The Lunatic Express, by Charles Miller.

There all better written and more observant than the more familiar tripe by Karen blixen and co.

Of course, you could always go with Hemingway, but I find his East African stuff really tedious.

And not African, but you can't beat Jim Corbett. Beautifully written accounts of hunting in India in the late 19th and early 20th century. Fantastic accounts of waiting up all night for tiger.

Try the Man Eaters of Kumaon or The Man Eating Leopard of Rudraprayag.

Be warned, though, some of the Imperial sensibilities may not sit well with modern sensitivities!

+ 1 with Mungo, any of Jim Corbetts books, absolutely gripping.

    Get well soon.

Any of Jim Corbetts books (the above and The Temple Tiger) will leave you gripped.

Kenneth Anderson is also worth a read (not as good as JC in my opinion).

Robert Ruark also interesting, or Tony Henley - Round the Campfiire & Hunting & Wildlife in Botswana.

Choice isnt good as decisions have to be made.............

I have started to go through the suggestions but whilst I can get them in paper, they are not available to download. I have found a book called 'African Game Trails' by Theodore Roosevelt. I have decided to give that a go. I may well order a few of the others as proper books for future reading.

    Thanks once again to everyone
