    Hinged Bull Bars For Landy

Anyone know anywhere that sells the above product for a Defender?

I have seen them on a few vehicles over the years and was thinking about getting one for the removal of deer to avoid pulling the wee trailer I have.

I have seen them, but I think a change on the law has stopped production of them.

I was aware of the change but thought it only applied to vehicles being sold new with them fitted? In other words if they are already on an older car, there is no need to remove them. Could be wrong though...

They are a handy piece of kit but not good in a crash, for the other party!

as did Devon 4x4 and Rimmers but I think all stopped selling them about five years ago. I'm not aware of any others so I'm afraid that it's either watching Ebay etc. for a secondhand one or it's out with the welder...

I think from 2006 onwards metal bullbars are illegal and i agree with that law for once. Not very pedestrian friendly are they? Not many kangaroos or steers in the Borders?

I,ve been after one of these for ages as well but they are like hens teeth, still a few about but they are attached to defenders and owners wont sell them.Im still not convinced about foam bullbars as I have one on the front of mine but without going too far into physics i dont think it would matter too much what kind of bullbar was on front of a vehicle that hit you the 2ton weight thats pushing behind that bullbar is going to do you some damage anyway!!!
