I have never seen a young roe kid, I know they are difficult to see/spot but it would be nice to see one. When would the southern stalkers expect them to be born/visible?
On my daily train run through the Somerset levels I have been seeing many groups of roe, however in the last week, much fewer roe to be seen and all mainly solitary. Does this indicate heavily pregnant does are seeking solitude and security prior to kids being born?
Also the weather conditions have been awfull, so could this cause significant kid mortality?
Silage making is going to be at least 1-2 weeks away, is this likely to be good or bad news for kid survival.
