It cannot be 1903 as the cartridge did not exist until 1906.
By the way a bit of research threw up this titbit.. It was not until 1924 that the action was lengthened to take longer high velocity cartridges. Production of the new Hi Velocity Schonenauer did not commence until 1925.
One can dream can't one?In 1924 the M-S action was lengthened to allow the use of longer cartridges and in 1925 the M-S High Velocity Rifle appeared in calibers other than 6.5x54mm. The style of the bolt release lever was also changed at this time from the early round button to a flatter shape.
