Redfield / Leupold.
Please also feel free to name the scope (I do know the name) from the very limited view in the photos.

It's the calibre of the shooter that counts not the calibre of the rifle.
looks like a pecar scope
Correct. Probably about 2006 manufacture. Similar in quality to my S&B (made in West Germany so pre '90) 6x42 scope.
Do you know who sells Apel mounts? I can't seem to find a dealer.
Torx screws, fairly recent idea, unlikely to be out of production yet, got some mounts as in pics somewheres, well made,Apel link http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=apel rollonoff mounts&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CHEQFjAA&url=http%3A%2 F%2Fwww.st.uk.com%2F&ei=LpHMT8eqHIHd8AO3i8XyDw&usg =AFQjCNES-wn0IfD56FlLT7a4du3o4qYsug&cad=rja

http://www.st.uk.com/ but you cannot order direct - your local firearms dealer should be able to help, I got mine through Sloans of Inverurie, just north of Aberdeen. Paul Grannell is the guy at Sentry Trading, I'm sure he can advise a local dealer to you. I'm also waiting for a set of rail mounts from Alan Rhone - Recknagel that look very good and made in Germany - maybe worth considering?
I agree leupold almost sure.
Thanks for the responses. I think I will stick with these as they do the job. Apel are not cheap, a nice to have but for me not necessary.
