Breaking news.
Christian (my scandanavian contact), is there on holiday, the ground is run by some of his family.
On the drive into the grounds saw an 8 point bull moose and some white tail bucks (still in velvet). That moose my have gone by the time we arrive as the range massively (but also some will wander through) but the W.T. should be about.
They move inland from the coast and pass through daily.

Getting a proper location now but its 30 min east of helsinki and just inland so is a great place for the moose coming inland in the fall.

John, I might have been interested, however, I understand you have to take a fence post or find a suitable tree to fire at if the targets aren't too good to shoot, so I'll decline- sorry Paul couldn't resist

Right there is one place left on trip 1 as someone has changed dates.
1st nov-5th nov= 1 place. The quota has come in and the amount of whitetail that is allowed to e shot has been cut so hopefully there will be some tags on this hunt. PLACE NOW GONE.
29th nov-3rd dec=2 places left. The whitetail tags will have been shot out but as snow and cold expected on these later dates there will be more chance of pigs from the seats. And so i've been told the bigger bull moose move through this area then.
There are NO extras or trophy fees on any hunts.

Cost of hunt is £750 + beer/extra english food(40 euro'ish) + flights frist trip booked from Gatwick were £160 + guns 25eu each way.
Thats only about 1K all in.

x2 guns left on 29th nov-3rd dec trip.
We think the whitetail tags will have been reached by then as the govenment have halved the tags this year. But the colder weather should make locating the boar easier and the bull moose should be coming of the coast by then and travelling through the grounds.
