I have decided to sell my .223 for the reason it just doesn't get enough uses any more, I've looked at how much brass i had and reckon its shot around 500-600 rounds through it. It was brought originally from riflecraft in July 2008 in a different stock.
It shoots 1/2 groups with factory Norma 50 grain vmax rounds.
Remington 700 blueprinted short action,
26'' fluted chrome moly varmint barrell 1 in 14 I think screw cut to 5/8 and recrowned, any one who wishes to buy the rifle may make me a reasonable offer on the moderator as i have a spare slot for another m
The stock is a Mcmillan M40a stock has a few sign of wear and a couple of minor chips, looks like it is a gel camo in olive tan and brown under duracoating. I have also just had a new but pad and the floorplate adjusted for better feeding at a cost of £130.
The trigger is a rifle basix trigger with a nice crisp trigger, not sure what weight it is but i like it anyway.
As a bare rifle in the mcmillan stock, floorplate and rifle basix trigger im after £900. Now £850
The rifle in the mcmillan M40a stock, the rifle basix trigger, the scope, warne rail, leupold rings and the various .223 brass, ammo and boxes. I have looked on guntader and a brand new Remington VSSF (wh is copairable to this rifle) in .223 is £1200 second hand with a scope at the moment. Considering its been recrowned, rethreaded, blueprinted, a new trigger and a better stock I think £1050 is a reasonable price. Now £1,000
The scope is a Falcon Merlin 4.5-18 x 56 illuminated mounted in quick release Leupold QPW ring which are about £70 a pair and a Warne 0 moa piccatinny rail which was £85.
The scope was brought from uttings and cost around £280 about 2 or 3 years ago, i have the box and paperwork for it somewhere.
I have a few once fired rounds, some ammo and some boxes aswell to go with the rifle

I have looked on guntader and a brand new Remington sps varmint in .223 is £730 new at the moment.
