I had the opposite problem to JayB - went out last night and saw plenty but couldn't get a shot! Firstly couldn't get into the highseat I was heading for due to 4 roe sunbathing underneath it - very flat area though and couldn't get a shot at either of the yearling bucks. Eventually got into the highseat watched a munty for a bit, again couldn't get a shot as he stayed behind bushes/hedges. Then the 4 roes re-appeared about 200yds out and I watched them for another 20 mins while they gradually wandered slowly away from me grazing without showing anything more than rump. And at the same time a female munty appeared, but she didn't show any signs of being pregnant so left her alone.
Still, a beautiful spring night to be out and first time I've seen the bats out this year, and also watched a woodcock flaoting around above me at dusk.
