I was in Paris on Tuesday and, at Charles De Gaulle, picked up the latest (July 2012) copy of Connaissance de la Chasse magazine. It comes with a free DVD that include a 52 minute film by Jean-Pierre Grossin containing footage of Red Deer. The idea is to help the viewer identify them by age; "How to judge a deer". My French is pretty poor, but the photography in the film is stunning, a lot of it taken during the rut.
If you go to the film makers website (Cerf moi fort) about two thirds of the way down the page is an embedded video that will give you an idea of the coverage.
Anyone heading "en vacances" to France might want to pick up a copy.
