We donated several lots to the MFR Radio Cash for Kids Charity Auction back in march.
Josie & Emma were the winning bidders for the day of Wildlife Photography & Introduction to Deer.
The ladies braved a typical Highland summer day - driving rain and even more midges - last week. With the weather, the deer refused to enter into the spirit of things but there was still plenty to occupy our time. The ladies had a great day and in the process learned a good deal about the forest and the how's and why's of the management of the deer within it.
From a strictly stalking perspective, they have no interest in pursuing deer but acknowledged that they had learned a great deal and left with a much better understanding of what we do.
Here Gary warms a helpful Dragon Fly and pretends he's utterly un-phased by midges. It was only sticking his head in the Loch afterwards that slightly spoiled the effect!
