Hello,

My name is Donald Rowantree. I am the Head Stalker of Corrour Estate, Inverness-shire. I have worked on Corrour for 7 1/2 years. The estate is primarily a deer forest which employs 3 stalkers and 3 seasonal ghillies. It is roughly 58,000 acres of upland typically west coast terrain, which encompasses 7 Munro's ( so fairly high ground ). We control on average 180 stags (120 of which are with clients) and 200 hinds per year. The day to day rifles we use are .308's, my own being a Tikka T3 tactical with a Swarovski 6-18x50 with a ballistic turret. We also have a Blaser R93 tactical 2 in .338 Lapua Magnum with a Schmit & Bender 5-25x56 PM II, for confidence at further ranges.

Thanks

Donald

Welcome to the site mate, I should imagine that .338 echos round the glens a bit.
