OK chaps I need to try and form a consensus of opinion on this one shock. This tree is a pine, about a foot across. seriously scored as you can see (as are a good number of both pine and spruce of the same size in the surrounding area), some of the scoring goes up to about 5ft, but most is like this. would you say it was Sika or Red? There are reds in this area of scotland regularly seen, but never ever sighted a Sika here, although it is only 3 miles as the crow flies from the nearest location a sika has been seen or shot. Cameras go up tonight, but my money (its a hefty £1 wager) is on sika having moved in.....?
