Parker Hale 308 Synthetic Setup (inc Swarovski 6x42 & A-Tech Mod) PRICE REDUCED

I have for sale my Parker Hale 308 Synthetic Safari rifle for sale with a Swarovski Habicht 6 x 42 scope and A-Tech moderator (1/2" UNF).

I will include in the sale the following:

    Parker Hale Rifle
    Swarovski Habicht 6 x 42 Scope
Leuopold STD 25mm Mounts & Rings + 30mm rings if needed
    A-Tech Moderator
    Harris Bipod
    Butler Creek Sling
    9 x Sako 180 Grn Hammerhead Rounds
12 x Nosler Ballistic Tip 150 Grn Rounds
    30 Cal Bronze Brush
    Bore Snake

I tried using the rifle today for the first time with the scope and couldnt get it to zero on a friends range. It grouped but had fliers. I have a flinch with 308's so would like to get a 270 to address this as it is knocking my confidence. Someone with their own range facilities can work out what is going on, I don't have the time! PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT YOU ARE BUYING THIS RIFLE UN-ZEROED AND MUST KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING AS I COULDNT GET IT TO ZERO - SOLD AS IS.

I am new to stalking and need a rifle with less kick to get me going and more confident. I would consider a swap for similar setup in 270 Win.

The moderator was new, the rifle I bought second hand, sling is new, mounts used, rings new yesterday, scope used.

Face to Face only as I don't have suitable rifle packaging. Cash on collection (Near Cambridge)

    PRICE £675 NOW £625

If you have a flinch using .308 you won't cure it by changing to a .270

Are you sure a .270 will make you, flinch less than the recoil of a .308?

    Flinch etc

I tried my cousins Sako 270 and I was fine. No muzzle jump and could see deer after shot.... 308 jumps all over the place.

I own both calibres and also a few more. My 270 is a lightweight rifle as is my 308, my 270 without any question has a harder recoil than the 308 .

Thanks for all the advice, I will give it some thought regarding variation.

    Rifle setup still for sale!

Shame that this set up hasn't worked

Given the flinch, see if someone local to you has a 6.5x55mm to try. Completely different to a .308 or .270 especially with a decent moderator

    Sako 75 6.5x55 - Z6i 3-18x50. Sako 75 .308 Habicht 2.5-10x56. Beretta 690. Benelli M2.

My 25-06 with mod has next to no recoil and excellent sight picture after shot and packs a lot of punch for smaller bullet
