I'm shoot captain on a 1000 acre shoot in Norfolk. We shoot mainly Pheasant and Partridge, having large areas of reed bed we have a good head of Chinese Water Deer and some Muntjac, the occasional Roe but the stars are our Red Deer of which the other night we counted 47 hinds on one field. Want to get into deer stalking particularly as the numbers are getting out of hand. Current rifles Marlin .17HMR, custom Ruger 10/22 (Fajen thumbhole stock, Rimfiremagic trigger group, carbon fibre tension barrel with an SAK moderator) and a customised 22-250 Remington 700 (Timney trigger and a silhouette thumbhole stock, barrel shortened to 20" with T8 moderator).
With the above arsenal you can guess that I do a lot of lamping for rabbits and foxes. Also have a Cobra Merlin night sight which works well on the rimfires but has a habit of smacking me in the face when used with the 22-250. Thinking of getting a Pulsar N550.
