Ive seen Privi do a 170 gr 308 round. Anyone any experience with these? Any good for driven boar or should i go bit heavier?? Thanks

I have used them in .308 for quite a while to good effect but recently changed my rifle for a 30-06.
On my last trip I shot 3 pigs using 30-06 170gr grom, two dropped to shot and one ran off the track and dropped about ten yards into the forest.
One of the foresters did comment on the use of Grom and suggested they would be better for Bear as they penetrate very well, but on pigs at close range, doesn't let them expand enough to give a good blood trail.
I find that if you hit a pig right it goes down whatever you use, see my post elsewhere when some of the Irish lads used .243 100gr to very good effect in Hungary, Brian take note !!

PS. Hi Dan, am looking forward to January. I am off to Croatia this Thursday and will be using Grom again, they work for me so why change say I.
