Do you think I need help?

I am beginning to thimk the wifes right and I need help!!

Friday we finished work for Xmas :D :D an early finish and down the pub. 2 pints of diet coke and I was out stalking, managed a young fallow doe. On the way back I called at a farm where they have recently lost 90 hens to reynard. As I arrived with a mate a quick cast of the lamp and there were eyes in the hedge alongside the car. I hoped to get him a shot but we darent get out of the truck. He couldnt see the fox so I had a look. It had moved back behind the vehicle and I had to resort to a left handed shot, a small vixen down :p :p

I assumed this was job done but reports suggested a big light coloured fox and she didnt really fit the bill. Oftenwise sightings are unreliable so i wasnt too worried. We drove half a mile to cast a lamp down the side of the release wood but nothing seen. As we left I cast the lamp where we had shot the vixen. On the otherside of the lane, behind a low bale stack I got a quick flash of eyes. I thought it was a hare skulking along, my mate thought it was a act. Simultaneously we both noticed the bushy tail. I jumped out and onto the bonnet but couldnt see the fox. Another flash of the lamp showed a fox eyes. Back on the rifle and down he went!! A big light dog! 2 foxes in 20 mins and both before 6.30 pm, we even beat the fog!!

Thing is, all my work colleagues and mates were in various pubs around and about being festive, I just wanted to get out when there was a gap in the weather, do I need help??

Nope you don't need any more help, sounds like you and your mate are doing a great job all by yourselves!

It's easy peeps. Delegate someone to go to the pub to drink the Pepsi on your behalf - should get you a couple more hours out  ( but don't ask the missus to do it - they get the hump ). :D Apparently

I would of done the same, the wife just asked what I want to do on New Year's Eve. By the look on her face I'm not sure doing the bongs with her then slipping out to shoot my first fox of he new year is what she wanted to hear!!!!!!

Sounds good to me.

Yep ...your fine ! ................far from the madding crowd and on the land looking for Charlie ....couldn't be better

Yes a definite problem which I think I also suffer from. Work mates think I'm a weirdo because I'd rather go out shooting instead of boozing!
If you happen to find a cure could you do me a favour KEEP IT TO YOURSELF I'm happy as I am

Funniest (but barely survived) one for me was when my missus said we werent spending enough time together and she suggested we should do more together. I said "Great!! You can hold the lamp!"

I was joking, she wasnt laughing.....  :coat:
