Practice on a tin can and shoot it with your air rifle if you dont think you will hit it take up knitting it a safer hobby
Dont you know anyone with a terrier?
try putting some poison down, where the chickerns cant eat it of course
Sorry mate ive just seen your post .
Dont give up your day job .....
BE PREPARED IT WASNT RAINING WHEN THEY BUILT THE ARC
Get yourself a solid backstop like an old slab. Place it along one of the tracks they are making. Normally between a hole and the chicken feed. Try and place it somewhere you can see from the other side of the garden. Then smear a good blob of peanut butter on the slab and wait for the little ******* once it gets dark.
If you have a garden light, try leaving it on for a week before you do anything. If you don't have a garden light you can get cheap LED torches which do a good job. Try and get a red one if possible as rats don't see the colour red very well at all.
Once you nail the first one, you will wonder why you never took up rat shooting before!
You could always put some pepper on a flat stone........
Preferrably white, real fine and dusty,do you SNIFF a RAt???
